cocktail tasting at The Westbury, Tonino Lamborghini vodka

Tonino Lamborghini vodka

When you encounter the word ‘Lamborghini’, immediately you relate it to posh, luxurious cars. On an interesting note, the dynasty has converted the name into other luxurious products for the high-end market. One of them is Tonino Lamborghini Vodka, and another is an energy drink under the same brand. The drink brand was created by none other than the car manufacturer’s son.

This premium vodka comes in a sleek, tall, and elegant bottle, which showcases style at its best. It is presented in a clear bottle with an insignia of a raging bull. On the other hand, the energy drink has a very sophisticated image and a delicate taste. We tasted the vodka cocktail at an exclusive event at No. 41 The Westbury Hotel in London, Mayfair.

We had an array of Tonino Lamborghini vodka martinis, also known as vodkatini : a very fruity and deep berry- amazing colour, a rather velvety chocolate flavoured, a luscious espresso and a straight vodka martini with lemon twist.  I think James Bond would give the thumbs up! This triple distilled vodka is clean, smooth, luxurious and satiny.

The ingredients in Tonino Lamborghini Vodka are an interesting mixture of the highest quality cereals coming from select farms in the Eastern part of Europe, most specifically in Slovakia and the Balkans. These two sources are known for producing the highest quality of grain. The produce is selected carefully in order to remove impurities. Afterwards, the corn has to go through a very intricate process in enhancing the content of the start. In turn, this transforms the sucrose into a particular form that is perfect for distilling extremely clear alcohol.

A process involving triple distillation extracts only the very best from the grains, only choosing the perfect balance between smoothness and pureness. Afterwards, the resulting distillate is filtered a number of times with the use of carbon filters that are birch activated. This specialised form of filter can retain even the smallest amount of impurities. It also uses quartz fine sand, which can result into crystalline and a clean alcohol. The alcohol content is then reduced coming from the distillation degree to the degree, which is fit for commercialisation (40% Vol). This process is done by incorporating extremely pure water coming from Franciacorta’s Alpine Springs.

As mentioned, the water that is being used in the dilution process hailed from the Italian springs that can be found at the foot of the Rhaetian Alps, in Franciacorta. The waters went through natural filtering process, through the underground passages in between the rocks just above Lake Iseo, where it flows naturally clear and pure. The springs in this area are often characterised by reduced mineral content, giving this premium vodka a striking balance.

As of this point, this beverage  is currently on sale at exclusive nightspots and venues all over the world, such as The Westbury Hotel in London.
