Are you looking for an adventure that can give you the best time of your life?  Well, you only have to step aboard this magnificent ship, and you will have the opportunity to experience a luxurious cruise with a laid back quality to it.  Going aboard the Celebrity Eclipse is a perfect way to forget the world, spend your vacation in fine surroundings and being waited on at all times.  It is where your journey becomes a destination in itself because of all the wonderful things it has to offer.

This time my adventure was on board of newly refurbished Celebrity Cruises, Eclipse. A two-day return sailing to Le Havre, France,  from Southampton to celebrate the rejuvenation of this great ship. It’s maiden voyage in April 2010 was to Spain, Bilbao, rescuing tourists stranded by the volcanic ash cloud that lingered over Northern Europe.

Exploring the Celebrity Eclipse is an experience.  It is a complex but exciting maze where pathways branch out and lead you from one surprise to another.  There are glass lifts that will take you to every deck.  The rooms are beautiful with all the modern amenities such as a flat-screen TV, minibar, hairdryer, and all that you would need to make your stay as comfortable as possible.  Wi-Fi is available, but sometimes it does not work especially if the ship is sailing and that can be a good thing too when you are on vacation so you can fully enjoy your time there.

The ship communal areas and a majority of the staterooms have balconies that give you amazing views of the sky and ocean, day and night.You can check out the different activities or events they have organised at the on board newspaper so you will not miss any of it. There’s also a kids club with an outdoor secluded multi-purpose arena for football, basketball and other activities.

The restaurants, bars menus approvals are made by the headquarters in the US.  All ingredients orders are made in advance and sometimes are made months in advance, depending on the cruise route, to be either collected from local ports or delivered to the ship. A colossal project management by Celebrity Cruises.

Every restaurant has its galley and caterers for all diets and special requests. Each dining room have specially designed cutlery and crockery that are unique to them.
