Coffee talk with Nespresso

Nespresso never ends to amaze me. Every single coffee creation is carefully orchestrated with precision and great energy.  Karsten Ranitzsch, Alexis Rodriguez are Head of Coffee and Head of Coffee Development at Nespresso respectively and handle the creation of the coffee blends that Nespresso devotees have come to depend on.  They travel the world in search of the most excellent coffee beans, chasing down trends and making trends themselves!  Tracking down flavour inspirations to deliver a top quality coffee experience to hundreds of thousands of customers worldwide.

It’s not an easy job to deliver such an amazing coffee experience, but it’s one that they take on with great commitment and an ingrained passion that they both share for the bean.  With that in mind, Nespresso has paid homage to some of the world’s most beautiful Italian cities resulting in a new Nespresso Limited Edition line. Tribute to Milano and Tribute to Palermo are delectable blends. They are so rich and dark, you can almost imagine yourself enjoying your cup in a quaint Italian cafe and  soaking in the sights, smells  and sounds of these ancient locales as you lose yourself in the heady aromas of a perfect cup of coffee.
I’ve been to Milano a couple of times, and it is truly magical. I can’t think of a better place to start a conversation about the origins of coffee – and in particular, the elegant, fruity and aromatic qualities that are the hallmarks of Nespresso’s Tribute to Milano. Pure heaven!

Palermo has always been on my list of places to go, and this ristretto set my imagination (and my taste buds) alight: the coffee is silky on the palate while displaying powerful, intensely roasted notes, aromas of cacao, and a spicy, peppery nose. It gave me the impression of having been there, even though I haven’t quite left my kitchen … if anything, it has renewed my interest in visiting Sicily, and Palermo in particular, just to be able to bring the two experiences together.

The strong colours, flavours and aromas set you nicely on a journey of discovery through a truly great cup of coffee. These fantastic creations are ‘Limited Edition’ coffee. Try them soon, before they’re gone forever!

So, I will close this conversation with a shout-out: Hey Nespresso! Hey, Karsten! Hey, Alexis! If I may, can I humbly request adding these uniquely stellar blends to your permanent coffee lineup? They are too undeniably good to ever to want to bid farewell!

Latissima Touch review

I made all the above coffees with the new Latissima Touch.
Nespresso has done it again!  Another beautiful coffee machine that makes all sorts of gourmet coffee  at a touch of a button!  This coffee machine comes with an adjustable texture milk frother. It’s very elegant, and it’s great addition to any kitchen. It’s auto power off feature  is a blessing, if you like me, forgets to switch off gadgets

Sleek, simple and modern lines, this machine, makes the perfect coffee. Latte?, Cappuccino? Macchiato? Espresso? Lungo? This machine makes coffee preparation a breeze.  Just press one of the six tactile buttons according to the coffee yo want – fast heat up and wait less then one minute and it’s done!  It’s all very easy to assemble and to clean.  A very easy to follow manual comes with it.  Daily care is advisable to keep the machine working correctly at all times.

Compact size: efficient design with compact technology. Use filtered water as the water tank hasn’t got a filter. Great for domestic use as well as small offices.
Highly Recommended. Put that on your Christmas list!

Until next time why not join me on  InstagramTwitter and Facebook…X

Thanks to Nespresso for sending me complimentary coffee capsules and Latissima Touch for review.

Ah Palermo is wonderful and I agree, it should become a permanent blend! I went to the launch event and loved the coffee as always. The food they paired it with was perfect too: http://blog.pastabites.co.uk/2015/10/nespresso.html

I love coffee, but really struggle to drink anything stronger than a latte at the moment. That said, I would love a Nespresso machine.

We love our Nespresso Machine, but it is just an entry level. We need to upgrade to this level. Your cup looks perfect. We wanted to visit the Nespresso shop in NYC, but we ran out of time.
