I never been to Granada, but I heard many travel anecdotes and stories on how magnificent the place looks. I am now super curious since been introduced to Alhambra Reserva 1925 over food and beer pairing at Coya London.
Found all over Spain, virtually all the national territory Alhambra Reserva 1925 is a larger hand-crafted in Granada with a 90-year heritage and named after the city’s iconic palace. The embossed bottle looks exclusive and unique.
Alhambra Reserva 1925 is an ultra premium beer handcrafted to please the
most demanding palate. I am no beer connoisseur, but I like this taste
of this drink, especially with food. This amber/gold liquid has
caramel, malt and hop flavors with a crisp finish is quite elegant. It’s
an exceptional beer for many occasions.
I have been to Coya before and it was a fabulous experience. The food is amazing, service is flawless and super attentive. And they make one of the best pisco-sour in London, if not the best. What is not to like?
Beer and Food Pairing
We started the meal with a quite generous glass of Allhambra Reserva 1925 and a selection of slightly spiced dishes: asparagus and fish ceviches and tiradito – raw fish, cut in the shape of sashimi with ginger and chilli salsa.
The beer went down very well with these dishes. Reminded me of summer by the seaside.
Sea bream Criollo| Salmon Nikkei (Back) | Atun tiradito |
Gambas Fritas and aji rocoto |
Pulpo al Olivo and josper potatoes |
Pollo Anticuchos |
Ensalada de Mais – corn salad, not being a fan of corn this dish actually was excellent. |
Lubina Chilena| Patatas Bravas a la Peruana | Broccoli – Lubina is Chilean seabass and it was outstanding |
Langostino Tigre with chilli salsa was delicious and perfectly cooked |
Arroz Peruano with white corn and sweet garlic |
Costillas de res – slow cooked in beer – so juicy and tender and I love Aji limo on top – perfect! |
Papa Fresca- purple potatoes, summer vegetables, tomate, aji limo |
Caramelo con Chocolate & Sorbet de Pisco & Frambuesa |
Mousse de coco, pineapple sorbet, lime and coconut granita |
Selection of exotic fresh fruit – Possibly the most beautiful fruit bowl I’ve ever seen! |
The savoury menu paired perfectly well with the Alhambra Reserva 1925.
Alhambra can be found in supermarkets nationwide in 330ml, 6.4% vol. Best served at 4-6C

Disclosure: I was a guest of Alhambra Reserva 1925 at Coya at this even. all views are my own.
This sounds really interesting – my husband is a sommelier so I usually let him pair our evening meal with a wine 🙂
I'm not much of a beer drinker but all the food looks amazing, especially those desserts <3

The event sounds amazing. Pairing the right beer with food is something I never though of before. The beer sounds fab too, I would like to try it, especially as is handcrafted.
