Häagen-Dazs at Wimbledon

This week marks the beginning of the Wimbledon Grand Slam
championship, the venue for the world-famous annual tennis event in London.
Häagen-Dazs is launching a new five-year partnership with
Wimbledon and the Lawn Tennis Association this year, which sees its becoming
the Official Ice Cream of The Championships.
The introduction of this partnership took place at The
Hurlingham Club last week. In addition to enjoying some very entertaining
tennis, we got to taste for the first time their new Strawberries & Cream
Stick Bar, which will be sold exclusively at Wimbledon and Selfridges London
for the duration of The Championships.
Tennis and strawberries are both signs of the arrival of
summer in the UK, and strawberries and cream is a tradition at Wimbledon
season; it has been a treat has been enjoyed at the All England Club in Wimbledon since
the tournament’s inception.

The new Strawberries & Cream Stick Bar by Häagen-Dazs is
a superb little treat for this summer’s event. Make sure that you wait about
10 to 15 minutes before biting into it. The ice cream melts a bit and
becomes smoother as the time passes. The contrast of textures of the strawberry
pieces, the creamy ice cream, and the chocolate coating’s cracking and
melting into the product makes the eating experience unique.

Häagen-Dazs uses only high-quality ingredients
in its ice creams. Strawberries are handpicked to ensure only the
best are included in the ice cream making process.
Then, they are chopped, mixed with sugar, and frozen. The fruit bits and
juice are added slowly to the creamy, smooth, real cream and milk ice cream
mixture and then enrobed in rich Belgian chocolate.

This is the perfect way to engage in a
delicious and innovative way with strawberries and cream before, during, and
after the matches. The sticks will be sold at £4/each on-site at
the Wimbledon tournament and Selfridges London.

What a great event to attend! Oh these sticks look and sound delicious, but £4? Seems a little pricey to me (I am sure they are worth it though!) Kaz x
